High Density YVE-BIO® Ceramic Filter The high-density ceramic works like a sieve that retains all substances larger than 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm). (For comparison: an average human hair is about 0.05 to 0.08 mm thick). Due to its fine pore size (new ISO standard 12-2, valid since 1 March 2010) no bacteria can pass through. These have a size of 0.3 – 10 microns. The Austrian Institute of Technology was able to clearly prove the effectiveness of the ceramic filter in terms of impermeability to germs and bacteria: “The germs (CFB’s), coliform bacteria, Escherichia coli and Enterococci present in the raw water were 100% removed or are no longer detectable in the filtered water”. This provides effective protection against germs. Millions of people around the world already use this filter. From water from puddles, rivers, ponds, etc. you can quickly and easily produce drinking water yourself, even in crisis situations. You are independent of the municipal water supply and can dispense with storing water supplies. The filter should be replaced every 24 months. If it has discoloured due to the retained impurities, the water is filtered slowly. If necessary, clean it with a clean kitchen sponge and light scrubbing movements.
